Saber Alter in the Mountains of Wales

Saber Alter in the Mountains of Wales

I just returned from a week's holiday in Wales, which provided some nice views and places to see. I took Saber Alter along for the ride because I thought there might be some nice photo opportunites.

We travelled up into Snowdonia, through some mountainous terrain.

The first place visited was Chirk Castle. This castle was built by King Edward I in 1295. Here we are at the gates.

Next up was Vale Crucis Abbey, built in 1201.

This is Swallow Falls, a nice waterfall near Betws-y-Coed.

This is the view overlooking Mount Snowdon, the tallest mountain in England and Wales.

I went to the Summit of Snowdon. Local legend says that the Knights of the Round are buried under the mountain.

The last place I went with Saber was Powis Castle, built in around 1266.

I visited loads more places but these are the ones that I managed to take Saber along to.
